Tell us about an act of kindness that transformed your life? (you could have seen, or done, or had done to you)
There's been so many.... Meredith (our granddaughter) and I were in NY City in December...and she became ill and vomited all over both of our winter coats. We were inside at Madison Square Garden for the Duke basketball game at the time and it was too cold to go outside and find replacement coats. Our friend, Russell, left the Duke basketball game and went to buy two coats for us. He would not take any pay for this even though it saved us from getting sick. He's still our friend.
