How can I help you?

Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself! Where you're from, what you do, what you care about.
Born in Boston, I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and lived for many years near Baltimore, MD. I now live in Fuquay-Varina, NC which is south of Raleigh. My professional career has spanned 28 years in the nonprofit sector working as a direct service provider, team leader, school administrator, with the last 9 years dedicated to nonprofit fund development and marketing. Today I am honored to be a member of the Healing Tree Foundation staff, to have the opportunity to build this community; to share with and learn from others.
How did you hear about the Kindness Cure?

Tell us about an act of kindness that transformed your life? (you could have seen, or done, or had done to you)
There have been many acts of kindness that have touched my life. One that stands out happened after the death of a very close friend who passed away at a young age. A group of about five or six of her friends, my friends, gathered at the grave site. We were all hurting and very sad. We sat there in the grass and began telling stories about our friend and how her spirit, her quirky sense of humor, her love of life, and her wonderfully generous nature had impacted all of our lives. We cried. We laughed, We hugged and cried some more. I learned that day that unlike what Shakespeare wrote, the good that people do is not interred with their bones. It lives on afterwards and was shining through us all that day. I am grateful not only to my beloved friend for her many gifts of kindness over the years of our friendship, but also to the close friends that helped me that day to remember and rejoice in a life well lived.

Hi Stephen

Thanks for the reminder to change the name of my profile. I was not uncomfortable in sharing my name. It was late last night when I set up the profile and did not feel like changing it. How do you assist small businesses with marketing plans? I currently seeking a One Page Marketing Plan for a new service I am about to roll out to a specific target market.

Yes the two people and the words if possible. What I was speaking about was the top of Kindness Cure website saying Pass It Forward instead of Pass It on.

CJ, I look forward to reading about your acts of kindness just as much as I looked forward to seeing the video installments. It is good to know that just reading about acts of kindness produce the same healthy benefits as watching them or performing…
